Her legacy
Meerabai's Death

Meerabai Mother of five children and 11 grand children passed away. An industrious woman by blood whose ulterior motive was unification unto her last breath, Meera Bai invoked a tremendous sympathetic wave of response at her last rites, amidst floral showers and visitors thronging into a typically lengthy rectangular enclosure of her stay, supplicating her feet and embracing all over the deceased that went pompous when tempered in a cold storage and later reduced to ashes through electrification. A plethora of confessions and mistakes intentional and unintentional deliberately acknowledged by the committers, a series of experiences embossed the death knell. Besides Meera Bai’s off springs her daughter and son in laws too sunk into a deep abyss of depression, a scenario which wasn’t anticipated at the least a mere premonition of death sneaking in, not received directly or indirectly by known or unknown. There were things in her that she could be as humane as an angel while at times

*Surkanti Reddy Meera Bai*

She was a binding knot that never could’ve been disentangled as it was inextricably linked with the family. Her death is an unparalleled loss that put us on the edge of irrevocability of an ageless battler. A distinguished persona who’s donned the varied roles of a Mother, Father, Sister, Wife, Grand Mother and most of all a caring Friend proving her exceeding versatility and adaptability overseas as well. Tempest of the ladies and primitively self respected stood as a strongest pillar to the entire Surkanti family and its genetic allies all through. Umpteenth times must’ve she been asked to rest but wasn’t suitable enough for her body thus paving way for the death agents to snatch her away from us all. A societal adjudication that she was a non stop worker even in the severest conditions where her life was at stake substantiates her workaholic nature. She was alike an umbrella that flew away in the wind of death forcing her away from this world under whom we all sought shelter. Let she have a good and a prosperous fortune in her next birth whenever and wherever”.   By Pramod R. Sami
